Saturday

Up to date as of 23:59 Friday 25th July, but is – as ever – subject to change. We'll edit it as required, including on the day.

There will be social / boardgames / art space throughout. If the weather is good, there's outside space too.

Saturday 26th July

Doors open: shortly after 10:00

It's the day the area's main Pride event, Nottinghamshire Pride, happens in the city centre. We also don't have the room used for hybrid events on the other two days, so this is 'in person' only.

There might be an online social space, if someone volunteers to run one.

Opening hello: 10:30

Slot five: 10:45 to 12:00

Bi/queer in academia – Jost (Glasgow)

In this session, we will talk about being queer in academia. Whether it's finding community in your field, updating your name on old publication, or anything else—share your own experiences and discuss what we can do to make academia more supportive and welcoming.

A-spec (Edinburgh)

Facilitating Fun in the bedroom with access needs – Heather (Glasgow)

In Our Own Words (Bi+ writers session) – Frith (Edinburgh)

Lunch: 13:30 to 15:00

Slot seven: 15:00 to 16:15

Kink & BDSM – Hessie (Glasgow)

Curious about kinks? Or what those initials stand for? Or been on the scene or doing scenes for years? A session for all, covering safety, communication and the current UK scene, and probably some amusing anecdotes.

In Between and In Plain Sight: Bisexuality, Visibility, and Trauma – Richard (Edinburgh)

A space for Bi+ and Bi curious people to reflect on how we've survived invisibility, hold ambiguity, and reconnect with our own safety and truth – together. This experiential workshop explores the often-unseen intersections between bisexuality, trauma, and visibility. Grounded in care and curiosity, we'll look at how cultural myths, chronic erasure, and identity ambiguity can shape a bisexual person's sense of safety, belonging, and embodiment.

Through reflection, dialogue, and gentle body-based practices, we'll explore what it means to feel seen, how ambiguity is often pathologised, and how resourcing the nervous system can support integration. The session invites spaciousness and self-attunement — without lectures or labels — offering a validating space for anyone curious about the relational and embodied dimensions of bisexual identity.

Slot eight: 16:30 to 17:45

Genderqueer identities – Kathryn (Glasgow)

Small group discussions of topics relating to genderqueer identities, with some questions/prompts to get you started. Everyone is welcome, whether you identify as genderqueer, gender-questioning, or just curious. No pressure to contribute, you are very welcome to either join in the discussion or just listen.

Resilience – Yevgeny (Edinburgh)

We all face many challenges in our lives, both connected to being bi and in general. What aids our psychological resilience? This workshop is a space to discuss and share tips.

17:45 to 23:00

Relaxed social space. Other options for Saturday evening have their own page.

There may also be an online one too.
