Sunday

Up to date as of 23:40 Saturday 26th July, but is – as ever – subject to change. We'll edit it as required, including on the day.

There will be social / boardgames / art space throughout. If the weather is good, there's outside space too.

Sunday 27th July

Doors open: shortly after 10:00

Slot nine: 10:30 to 11:45

In person and online:

Social media without corporations – Kavana (Salford)

In person:

Non-binary discussion space – Elizabeth (Glasgow)

For all who are non-binary (neither male nor female). This discussion space is here for us to talk about the ways in which we perceive gender (or don't!) and how it applies to our daily lives. Share tips, commiserate hardships, and find community in this gathering. Please be aware that some difficult topics may come up within the session.

Multi-faith space – Ludy (Edinburgh)

Some gentle multi sensory exercises (do as much or as little as you feel comfortable with) and discussion of being spiritual at BiCon and Bi+ in spiritual spaces. Open to people of all spiritual traditions and none.

Slot ten: 12:00 to 13:15

In person and online:

Self care, social care, community care – Rowan Alison, Disability and Neurodiversity Inclusion Officer, Equality Network (Salford)

We hear a lot about self-care, but is meditation, mindfulness and the occasional bar of chocolate enough? In this guided discussion session we'll look at the disparities and overlaps between self care and the kind of social care needed by disabled and older people, and ask how we can go beyond their limitations to form resilient networks of community and collective care.

Everyone welcome especially those who receive or provide care of any kind.

In person:

BIPOC safe space – Eunice (Glasgow)

A safer space for BIPOC and other racially minoritised people to share experiences, thoughts and tips about the intersection of race, culture and queerness – the good, the bad and the ugly – and to just hang out with other folks in the know. If you identify as BIPOC, racially minoritised, part of the Global Majority, or similar, you are very welcome!

What's happening with LGBTQ+ rights – Heather (London)

Lunch: 13:15 to 14:15

(60 minutes)

End of the Assassins game.

Slot eleven: 14:15 to 15:30

In person and online:

Journalling – Lisa (Salford)

In person:

Trans safe space – Alix (Glasgow)

Safer sex – Hessie (London)

What are the risks for bisexuals and their partners in doing various sexy things? What precautions might you want to take, and how have things changed? For those who never got detailed sex education at school, (probably out of date now too), a chance to ask all those questions you'd have been too embarrassed to have asked then anyway.

Closing: 15:45 to 16:15

Probably in person only, due to tech issues, sorry. (London)

Everyone out by 16:30.
